Young Entrepreneurs Step Up at Olivet Createur Pitch Competition
Kankakee County CEO students Gabriella Fuentes and Miles Yohnka represented our program at the Olivet Createur Conference High School Pitch Competition on April 16.
Not many teenagers, let alone adults, are willing to stand in front of a room full of people, facing judges from the professional business world, and deliver a five-minute pitch from memory, followed by live Q&A. These two did exactly that, and they nailed it!
Gabriella, a Kankakee High School senior, pitched her business, Feature Arts and Miles, a KHS junior, presented Word Woven. Both delivered engaging, well-organized, and professional presentations that clearly reflected the growth, confidence, and accomplishments they have developed throughout the year.
The Olivet Createur Conference brings together high school students, educators, and business professionals for two days of innovation, networking, and real-world learning. Through pitch competitions, workshops, and keynote sessions, participants gain valuable experience presenting ideas and connecting with leaders in entrepreneurship and creative industries.
We are incredibly proud of both of these students for stepping up to this challenge and representing the Kankakee County CEO with such poise. Congratulations, Gabriella and Miles!
