Key City Toastmasters Inspire CEO Students to Strengthen Communication Skills
Clear, confident communication is one of the most powerful tools an entrepreneur can develop. This week, CEO students had the opportunity to learn directly from Key City Toastmasters members Stacy Britt and Charleszetta Williams during an engaging morning session last week.
The presenters introduced students to Toastmasters International, a global nonprofit dedicated to building communication and leadership skills. Through practical demonstrations and interactive activities, students explored different speaking scenarios, practiced speaking on a topic, and discovered how public speaking can build confidence in both professional and everyday situations.
Why Toastmasters?
Toastmasters is a nonprofit educational organization with clubs worldwide. Kankakee’s chapter, Key City Toastmasters, has been helping individuals grow their communication and leadership abilities since 1980. They meet twice a month at the YMCA.
The ability to communicate ideas with clarity and confidence is a cornerstone of the CEO program. These skills help students:
-- Build trust and credibility with clients and peers
-- Strengthen leadership and decision-making abilities
-- Overcome fear of public speaking and grow in self-confidence
A big thank you to Key City Toastmasters for sharing your expertise and encouraging our students to find their voices as future leaders.
