CEO Students Visit St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Outpatient Center

CEO students had the opportunity to meet with Kim Hall, Director of Rehabilitation Services at St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Outpatient Center (and the proud mom of CEO student Holden Hall!)

The center serves the community with important services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. She also works directly with patients and has a specialty in treating lymphedema. Some of the conditions they treat at the center include vertigo, joint pain, back injuries, and more. The therapists support people of all ages, from children to adults, helping them recover and regain strength.

Kim spoke about her role as director, which includes many business responsibilities such as ordering supplies, keeping records, managing the team, and more. She also explained how billing works in this type of facility and emphasized the importance of understanding different types of private insurance and Medicaid.

She talked about the variety of career paths available in the field, from becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant with a two-year degree to pursuing a doctoral degree to become a Physical Therapist.

We are thankful to Kim for taking the time to share her knowledge and experience with the CEO students and for giving us a closer look at what it’s like to lead a facility that makes such a difference in the lives of others.
