Jonathon Blanchette

About Me

Jonathon “Jay” Blanchette is a senior at Bishop McNamara Catholic High School, and is the son of Michele and Greg Blanchette. Jay has a diverse range of interests and activities and is an aspiring entrepreneur.

Jay is an active member of his local 4H and the Kankakee County Federation, where he is known for his goat showmanship at the Kankakee County Fair. He is also on Bishop Mac’s bowling team. Jay also contributes to his school by working on the newspaper and yearbook. He occasionally tutors in subjects such as Chemistry and Physics. Additionally, Jay co-owns and works on his family farm with his father.

Looking ahead, Jay is interested in pursuing a bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, perhaps followed by a Masters in Business Administration. He is interested in a business that transitions internal combustion engines (ICE) to electric vehicles (EV) or venturing into the energy production and distribution field.

His primary motivation is to contribute to the advancement of humanity and make the world a better place for future generations. This has led him to entrepreneurship, and the CEO program provides a platform to pursue this passion.  “One of my biggest motivations...is to make the world easier and better for all who go after me. This motivation was the driving force of why I want to be an entrepreneur, and CEO is the perfect opportunity to further that.”
