Jonathan Harwood

About Me

Jonathan Harwood is a senior at Kankakee Trinity Academy and is the son of Thomas Harwood and the late Paula Harwood. Jon is actively involved in athletics at KTA, including soccer, basketball, and volleyball, where he also served as team captain for four years. Jon also helps in the school office and assists with school activities. He also volunteers as assistant to the goalkeeper coach for both the Men's and Women's soccer teams at Olivet Nazarene University.

In the CEO program, Jon’s goals are “to increase my knowledge in business, boost my time management skills, find and overcome new challenges, learn new skills, improve my work-life balance, expand my network, take on leadership opportunities, improve my communication skills, and create new responsibilities for myself.”

In his free time, Jonathan babysits his nieces and nephews, assists in the school office, serves as a peer mediator, and assists with other school activities.

“I became interested in business when I took a marketing class at school. I knew that I wanted to connect my interest in sports with business. This class requires me to go outside of my comfort zone and think critically. Meeting other business owners is showing me that there isn’t just one road to success.”

Future Goals: Jonathan aims to continue his athletic and academic journey at Olivet Nazarene University, playing soccer and volleyball while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Jon emphasizes the importance of prioritization and time management, realizing that nothing gets accomplished without deliberate effort. He also values the unique relationships fostered through the CEO program, which provide insights beyond the typical high school experience.
